A Farewell

In 2014, Crystal & I had just completed the purchase of 118 N. Prince Street. Our vision for the Surveyor Hotel had barely begun to bloom and we found ourselves with a unique opportunity — an underutilized parking lot in the heart of Lancaster’s Gallery Row.

Knowing that we had a long ways to go before construction began on the hotel, we schemed with local businesses to create a new destination in Lancaster featuring Passenger Coffee’s 1955 Airstream Coffee Bar and Penny’s Ice Cream. On June 5, 2015 Prince Street Park opened to the public and the response was truly amazing.

Although our plans for the Surveyor Hotel never came to fruition, the Prince Street Park would serve as a community meeting place for the next 5 years. Friends and family would gather to enjoy food and drinks and make memories that will last a lifetime. 

We are so thankful for this opportunity and for all those who came out and supported us in this endeavor. It's bittersweet, but we also must "Keep Moving Forward", taking steps in a new direction. We are hopeful that the new owners of the property will do what we could not and fully develop this wonderful property.
